{wedding contribution} lovingly crafted

Some DIY brides (and, in some cases, grooms as well) are so talented and so creative that they make really stunning DIY wedding crafts. One such bride is Thessa, of All About It. And her groom, Aweng, is too, which is a rarity among the male specie. I remember how my husband couldn’t understand then why I would spend hours doing crafts. He just didn’t get it.

When I clicked a link to her Tumblr site and saw her wedding DIY projects, I was literally wowed! They all look so professionally made yet you could tell that they were lovingly crafted (as her blog was aptly called) by passionate hands.

I love their choice of colors — the cheerfulness of yellow complemented with the neutrality of gray — and the materials — rustic yet dainty and sweet.

{DIY wedding} pearl strand lamp

Lamps + evening weddings is the best formula to have an uber romantic event. That’s why if I were to get married again (and I hope to the same guy), I’d still chose an evening wedding and I’d line my wedding to-do list with different DIY lamp projects. And this one will definitely be there:

The idea is so simple but the outcome couldn’t be more perfect. And you don’t have to limit yourself to pearls as there are a lot of materials that you can experiment with. Colored plastic beads, I think, are great alternatives especially if you’re working on a theme or color motif and want some glitters and sparkles.

Another nice thing about it is you can take it home after the wedding, and it will definitely make for a wonderful and stylish centerpiece in any room.
