For our wedding, I created DIY wedding headbands to adorn the hair of our flowergirls. It was my easiest DIY wedding project but it turned out really beautiful. Just look at how cute these girls are with their headbands:

I created this headpiece by hot-gluing sequined-flowers, which I bought at a craft store, on a plain black headband. It’s really that simple.

Just recently, I was inspired to make another headband using different materials to create an equally beautiful headpiece that you can use on your wedding. This is how the finish product looks like:

Materials:

- Headbands (I used metal headbands, but you can use plastic ones, too–they’re better IMO)
- Beading wire (I always prefer beading wire over nylon strings because it’s stronger. But if you have nylon strings, that would work okay, too)
- Faux pearls (or any equal-size round beads, if you prefer)
- Flat crystal beads
- Resin glue (Hot glue is only good for fabrics. Resin glue is better with metals and plastics which are the predominant materials for this project.)
Procedures:
1. String the pearl beads. The number of beads will depend on the diameter of the flat crystal beads that you will use.

2. Close the loop by inserting both ends of the wire on the last bead.

3. Create a chain of pearl loops by inserting equal number of beads on both wires and closing it like you did in #2. The length of the chain will depend on how much of the headband you want to cover.

4. Glue the pearl chain to the headband using resin glue.

5. Once the resin glue has dried, start gluing the flat beads at the center of each loop.

6. And you’re done!

Ain’t DIY wedding headbands fun to make?
