When we were still choosing the tokens that we’ll be giving away to our guests, I knew I wanted something that they can actually use, instead of just keep away in a drawer or box. While they can be cute, the wedding favors that we’re used to (you know what I mean, right?) often become useless trinkets and shelf displays that only gather dust in our homes. I wanted our wedding favor to have a different fate.
We were just lucky that one of our principal sponsors (which happens to be my husband’s uncle) offered to give us at least a hundred of small plants — a money tree plant — to thank our guests with. You could say I was ecstatic. Having plants as wedding favors perfectly suited our theme — a Filipino country style wedding — and is the most useful and eco-friendly choice.
